Air-Filled Motor With Internal Glycol Circulation

FKT type motors are isolated (jacketed) in an air-filled chamber. Waste heat is dissipated to the pumped liquid via a heat exchanger acting on an glycol-filled internal chamber.

Available in discharge diameters from 8” to 24”. Available in sizes from 150 hp to 800 hp.

FKT Type Motor—Advantages:

• Continuous operation in wet and dry sump installations
• Even in continuous operation, liquid level can be reduced markedly
• Draining pump sump to very low level is possible
• Cooling independent of the type of pumped media
• Room ventilation not necessary for dry pit installations
• Pit size can be reduced, which may result in lower construction costs
