Air-Filled Motor With Internal Glycol Circulation FKT type motors are isolated (jacketed) in an air-filled chamber. Waste heat is dissipated to the pumped liquid via a heat exchanger acting on an glycol-filled internal chamber. more »

Air-Filled Motor Design Air-filled T type motors are cooled when submerged in the surrounding pumped liquid. The motor waste heat is emitted directly via the casing, to the pumped liquid. more »

Thermo-Centric™ Engineering All Wilo EMU motors are engineered in a specific manner to effectively transfer heat away from the motor and thus ensure long-life operation in even the harshest conditions. |

Large Diameter Shafts Large diameter shafts are integral to all Wilo EMU pump motor designs and incorporate a minimum length to diameter ratio. For example, the typical Wilo EMU pump shaft is 3.126 inches in diameter. |

Enclosed Block Seals The proprietary enclosed block seal used on Wilo EMU pumps in conjunction with Wilo EMU motors minimize shaft length, which dramatically decreases the potential for shaft deflection. These seals incorporate silicon carbide sealing surfaces, which last 2-1/2 to 3 times longer than tungsten carbide seals. |
